-Since 2020, Voices Against Torture ( Voices Against Torture – Published by Vancouver Association
for Survivors of Torture (vast-vancouver.ca) and Roots Pakistan (www.rootspakistan.org) are
publishing an internationally peer-reviewed Journal (General-home (vastbc.ca), with support from
Vancouver Association of Torture Survivors-VAST Canada.
The 3 rd issue of the Journal/1 st Issue, Vol.2 was published on 30 th March 2022, with Dr. Wajid
Pirzada CEO Roots as its Senior Editor, and Member of the Editorial Board. The 2 nd issue of Vol.2
of the Journal is scheduled to be published on 30 th September,2022.

-Roots Pakistan has entered in to a Memorandum of Understanding(MOU) with National
Institute of Psychology(https://conference.nip.edu.pk/assets/img/2022/ConfFlyer.jpg ), Quaid e
Azam University (www.qau.edu.pk) for organizing 9 th International online Conference in July
2022 on Torture, Abuse and Violence in partnership with VAT Canada, VAST Canada and School
of Human Rights Pakistan.
-Roots annual internship program (July-December) will start from 1 st July 2022. The interns
interested in field- based research and reporting may contact.
– Roots Pakistan has been following closely political and economic development. The CEO
Roots Pakistan has advised the stakeholders to join heads and hands for informed policy
response, so that country can safely sale through these difficult times.
